Renaultsport Megane RS remap
Daily hatch with a proper track-day pedigree, the Megane RS gets remapped by owners doing both. M5P 1.8 turbo on the current generation, F4Rt 2.0 turbo on the older Mk3. Call 0161 302 5117 to talk through your Megane RS.
Every service available on the Megane RS
Stage 1 calibration, developed from your car's own baseline pull, is the starting point across both generations of Megane RS. Stage 2 is available where supporting hardware is fitted, and we will advise honestly on whether your car's setup justifies it. A standalone rolling road session, without any remap attached, suits owners who want a documented figure first. Economy remapping is worth a conversation for owners using the Megane RS as a daily car. Where the EDC dual-clutch transmission is fitted, we recalibrate the gearbox alongside the engine at the same session, and launch control coding is available on cars specified with it.
Why Megane RS owners remap
Two kinds of Megane RS owner come through Eccles. The first drives the car daily and wants sharper throttle response and stronger mid-range pull for the commute and the school run, without changing anything about how the car looks or sounds. The second takes the car to track days and wants a calibration that holds up under sustained load, developed and verified properly rather than a file downloaded and hoped for.
Both start from the same place. A Stage 1 map developed on the dyno improves response across the rev range on either generation, and the daily driver and the track day owner both benefit from a calibration built around real baseline data rather than a generic tune applied without reference to the specific car.
Engine and stage options
The current, Mk4-generation Megane RS (2018 to 2023) runs Renault's M5P 1.8-litre turbo, producing 276 to 300 bhp depending on trim. The older Mk3 Megane RS (2009 to 2016) runs the F4Rt 2.0-litre turbo, producing 247 to 271 bhp depending on trim. Both engines carry genuine turbo headroom above the factory calibration. Stage 1 is software only on both, requiring no hardware changes; before publishing a specific figure for either generation. Stage 2 is available where the supporting hardware is fitted, and we will tell you honestly whether your car's current specification supports it.
A visit to Eccles
A Megane RS booked in for Stage 1 starts with a baseline pull on the 4WD Bapro, giving us a genuine reference for your specific car rather than a factory figure. From there Samuel Gunnell develops the calibration around your car's actual fuelling, boost and timing data, reading the ECU via Kess3 or CMD bench tooling at Eccles, since there is no remote flashing platform for Renaultsport on this site. Once the map is applied, the car goes back on the rollers for verification pulls on the same equipment as the baseline, so you leave with a documented before-and-after rather than a promise.
