Every service available across the Porsche range

Stage 1 is available across the turbocharged Porsche range, developed and verified on our 4WD Bapro dyno rather than estimated from a spec sheet. Stage 2 is available where supporting hardware is fitted, and we will advise honestly on whether your specific car's setup justifies it over Stage 1. PDK gearbox recalibration is available alongside the engine map on dual-clutch cars, sharpening shift speed and launch control response. A standalone rolling road session, without any remap attached, suits owners who want a documented baseline figure before committing further. Launch control coding is available on PDK-equipped cars specified with the system. Economy remapping is worth a conversation for the Cayenne, Macan and Panamera, where many owners cover genuine daily mileage rather than track days.

Why Porsche owners remap

Porsche ownership splits roughly into two groups at Eccles. The first is the daily driver or weekend enthusiast with a 718 or 911 Carrera, wanting sharper throttle response and a genuine power increase from an engine they already know has headroom above the conservative factory setting. The second is the SUV or saloon owner, Cayenne, Macan or Panamera, who wants more usable mid-range pace for real journeys, often alongside a request for a smoother, more efficient calibration on the miles that aren't spent enjoying the car.

The 911 Turbo sits at the sharper end of both groups, an owner who already understands exactly what the car's twin-turbo flat-six is capable of and wants that potential properly explored rather than left on the table. Whichever model brings you in, the conversation starts the same way: what do you actually want from the car, and what does the engine in front of us honestly support.

Engine and stage options

The 718 Cayman and Boxster run a 2.0 or 2.5-litre turbocharged flat-four, producing 296 to 345 bhp depending on variant, sending drive to the rear wheels only. The 911 Carrera steps up to a 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six at 379 to 385 bhp, rear-wheel drive on the standard car or all-wheel drive via Porsche Traction Management on the Carrera 4. The 911 Turbo runs a larger 3.7 or 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six, 572 bhp on the Turbo up to 641 bhp on the Turbo S, all-wheel drive as standard.

Away from the sports cars, the Cayenne runs either a 3.0-litre V6 turbo (340 to 348 bhp) or, in Turbo specification, a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo (541 to 641 bhp), with Porsche Traction Management standard across the range. The Macan offers a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder (261 to 265 bhp) or a 2.9-litre V6 turbo in S and GTS trims (375 to 434 bhp), also all-wheel drive. The Panamera spans a 2.9-litre V6 turbo (325 to 434 bhp) through to a 4.0-litre V8 Turbo (542 to 621 bhp), available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive depending on trim.

Every one of these engines carries a factory calibration set conservatively to run cleanly across every market and fuel grade Porsche sells into, and that is exactly where genuine Stage 1 headroom sits once we've pulled your car's own baseline.

A visit to Eccles

Every Porsche that comes to Eccles goes through the same process regardless of badge. The car arrives and goes straight onto the 4WD Bapro dynamometer for a baseline pull, which is how we capture real figures for your specific engine rather than relying on a published average. Samuel Gunnell develops the calibration from that data using Kess3 or CMD bench and OBD tooling, in person only, there is no remote flashing platform for Porsche on this site. Once the map is loaded, verification pulls on the same rollers, loaded correctly whether the car is rear-wheel drive or running Porsche Traction Management, confirm the gain is genuine before the car leaves. A 718 session and a Cayenne session look different in what gets discussed, but the equipment and the standard of work stay the same.

Frequently asked questions

How long will my Porsche be with you?
A typical Stage 1 session, including baseline pull, mapping and verification runs, takes around half a day at Eccles. PDK recalibration alongside the engine map may extend this slightly. We will confirm a realistic timeframe for your specific model when you book.
Do I need to do anything before I bring my Porsche in?
No specific preparation is needed beyond arriving with a reasonable amount of fuel. If supporting hardware, an upgraded intercooler for example, has already been fitted, let us know in advance so we can plan the session properly.
Can I watch the dyno session?
Yes. You are welcome to see your car on the 4WD Bapro dyno throughout the baseline pull, calibration and verification runs at our Eccles facility.
Is a remap covered by any kind of guarantee?
We stand behind the calibration work we carry out and will talk through the specifics for your model and intended use when you book. Get in touch with your car's details for a clear answer before committing.
What if I only want a rolling road session and not more power?
That is available as a standalone service across the range. A documented baseline or post-modification pull on the 4WD Bapro dyno does not have to come with a remap attached.
