Ford remapping and tuning
Ford's EcoBoost and EcoBlue engines are among the most consistent remap platforms in the market. The turbocharged petrols in the Fiesta ST and Focus ST carry significant factory headroom, and the diesel units across the Transit and Ranger range are equally well-suited to calibration work. At Manchester Dyno Centre, Samuel Gunnell develops and verifies every Ford remap on our 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer, real measured figures on your car, not generic files pulled from a database.
Fiesta ST remapping
The Fiesta ST is one of the strongest platforms we work with. Whether it is the 1.5T or the earlier 1.6T EcoBoost, the factory calibration is notably conservative, the ECU has considerably more to give than the standard map allows. A Stage 1 remap addresses that directly: throttle response sharpens, mid-range torque increases substantially, and the top end of the rev range gains power that makes the car feel like a different proposition through the gears.
This is a software-only modification. No hardware changes are required for Stage 1, which means the car stays exactly as it was mechanically, just with the factory compromise removed. For those who want to go further, Stage 2 is available alongside supporting modifications such as an upgraded intercooler and induction kit. Samuel will advise on what is realistic for your specific car and what the step up to Stage 2 involves.
Focus ST and Focus RS
The Focus ST's 2.0T EcoBoost four-cylinder responds to remapping in a very similar way to the Fiesta ST, with the larger displacement translating to stronger absolute figures at Stage 1. It is a heavier car on longer gearing, and the remapped power delivery suits it particularly well on faster roads and motorway stretches where the extra mid-range torque is most useful.
The Focus RS is a different kind of project. The 2.3T EcoBoost and full four-wheel-drive drivetrain mean it already sits at a higher performance baseline than the ST, and calibration quality matters significantly more on a car operating closer to the edge of what the hardware can sustain. We tune the Focus RS on our 4WD Bapro dynamometer, the only accurate way to develop and verify a tune on an AWD platform. If you own an RS and are considering modifications, speak to us directly and Samuel will give you an honest picture of what the car can support.
Transit Custom and Transit remapping
The Transit Custom's 2.0 EcoBlue diesel is a regular on our rollers. Ford's factory calibration leaves efficiency on the table, fuel curves, injection timing and boost pressure are all set conservatively, and a well-developed economy remap can reclaim meaningful fuel savings on vehicles doing serious weekly mileage. For tradespeople running two or three full days on the road each week, that adds up to a real reduction in running costs over a year.
The Transit in both 2.0 and 2.2 TDCi form is also well supported. We carry out economy remaps for those wanting to reduce fuel consumption, and performance remaps for operators who need more torque from the vehicle when it is working under load. Speed limiter removal can also be carried out during the same session if required.
Ranger 3.2 and 2.0 EcoBlue
The Ranger 3.2 TDCi is one of the best remap platforms in the pickup segment. Ford's five-cylinder diesel produces strong base figures, and a remap extracts more torque across the rev range with noticeably better response under load, whether that means towing, carrying, or simply wanting the truck to feel less strained when working hard in fourth and fifth on a dual carriageway.
The Ranger 2.0 EcoBlue is also supported. Economy remapping is a popular choice on this engine for drivers covering high mileage, where improved fuel consumption provides a clear return on the cost of the remap.
