Renaultsport remapping

Stage 1 is available on the turbocharged F4Rt and M5P-engined cars, developed and verified on our 4WD Bapro dyno rather than estimated from a forum thread. Stage 2 is available where supporting hardware is fitted, and we will advise honestly on whether your specific car's condition justifies it. A standalone rolling road session, without any remap attached, is a genuinely useful option on these cars, whether that means a documented baseline figure or a post-modification check. Economy remapping is a smaller part of the conversation on cars bought to be driven hard, but it is available if you want it. We do not offer Stage 2 on the naturally aspirated F4R generation of Clio RS, there is no supporting hardware pathway on that engine that would justify one.

The Clio RS spans two very different engines depending on generation. The Clio IV RS200 EDC runs Renault's F4Rt, a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing around 197 bhp, with genuine Stage 1 headroom above that factory figure. The earlier Clio III RS (2006 to 2012) runs the naturally aspirated F4R at a similar power output, where a remap refines throttle response and fuelling rather than adding meaningful power, since there is no turbo to open up on this generation.

The Megane RS also spans two engine generations. The current, Mk4-generation car (2018 to 2023) runs Renault's M5P, a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder producing 276 to 300 bhp depending on trim, while the older Mk3-generation car (2009 to 2016) ran the F4Rt 2.0-litre turbo across 247 to 271 bhp depending on trim. Both turbocharged Megane RS generations carry real Stage 1 potential above their factory settings.
