Customers we see from Greater Manchester

Most of the cars on our dyno in any given week are registered within 20 minutes of the workshop. Manchester, Bolton, Salford, Stockport, Oldham, Wigan and every town in between send us the bulk of our work, and Eccles itself, where the facility actually sits, means some customers are closer to us than they are to their own dealership's nearest branch. Being the home county doesn't change how we work. Every car, whether it's driven five minutes from Eccles or across from Wigan, gets the same session: baseline pull on the 4WD Bapro, calibration built by Samuel Gunnell, verification runs before it leaves. Proximity is convenient. It isn't the reason the work is done properly.

Towns customers travel from

Manchester, Bolton, Salford, Stockport, Oldham, Wigan, Altrincham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Middleton, Radcliffe, Leigh, Stretford, Urmston and Sale, alongside Eccles itself. Salford, Stretford, Urmston and Sale are the shortest runs, most under 15 minutes. Manchester city centre, Bolton and Stockport typically sit at 20 to 25 minutes depending on the route. Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Middleton, Radcliffe and Wigan are the furthest within the county, usually 25 to 30 minutes.

About the service

Being local doesn't mean a shortcut version of the process. Every car at Eccles goes through the same sequence: baseline pull, ECU read, calibration developed or adjusted by Samuel Gunnell, verification pulls on the same rollers until the figures confirm the work. Samuel has led tuning here for more than 10 years and his reputation reaches well past Greater Manchester, which is part of why customers from further counties make the trip past closer, less capable alternatives. The 4WD Bapro dyno is the piece of equipment that makes that reputation defensible: it's a genuine four-wheel rig, so AWD platforms like quattro, xDrive or 4Matic get measured properly instead of run on one axle. Stage 1, Stage 2, economy remaps, gearbox and DSG remapping, standalone rolling road sessions, launch control, speed limiter removal and flame tunes are all available. No prices are published. Every job is quoted against the actual car and work required, so contact us directly.

Frequently asked questions

Is Manchester Dyno Centre really based in Greater Manchester?
Yes, at Eccles, within the borough of Salford. It's the reason drivers from Manchester, Bolton, Stockport, Oldham and Wigan see us as the closer, more capable option compared to travelling further afield or settling for a mobile remap.
Do you offer a mobile service anywhere in Greater Manchester?
No. Every car is worked on at our Eccles facility. The 4WD dyno can't be brought to you, and it's the equipment that makes the calibration genuinely verified rather than assumed.
What happens during a typical session?
Your car goes onto the dyno for a baseline pull first, so there's a real figure to measure against. Samuel builds or adjusts the calibration, then runs verification pulls on the same rollers. You leave with a documented before and after, not just a flashed ECU.
Is being close to the facility an advantage?
It makes booking and collection easier, but the calibration process doesn't change based on distance. A car from Sale gets the same baseline pull, build and verification as one that's driven in from Staffordshire.
Do you cover vans and commercial vehicles based locally?
Yes. Fleet and trade vehicles across Greater Manchester come through for economy remaps and speed limiter removal alongside the performance work. Contact us with the vehicle details.
