The session, how it works

Here is what a session at Manchester Dyno Centre looks like in practice. Your car arrives at the facility on James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester. It goes straight onto the 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer. Samuel Gunnell runs a baseline power pass to establish where the car currently sits, the measured starting point before any calibration work begins.

He reads the ECU using Kess3 or CMD hardware, selecting the appropriate method for the platform, OBD-port connection for most applications, or bench tuning for platforms that require the ECU to be physically removed. He builds or modifies the calibration, and puts the car back on the rollers. Fuelling, boost pressure, ignition timing and knock events are visible in real time throughout every run.

If the data shows the calibration needs refinement, it is refined. The car stays on the dyno until the figures confirm the work is correct. There is no target power number set in advance and then declared reached, the data ends the session, not a timer. The car comes off the rollers with documented before-and-after power figures. The facility

Manchester Dyno Centre operates from a 6,000 sq ft workshop at HNA Facilities, Plot Zero, James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester M30 0SF. The centrepiece is an in-house 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer. Full 4WD capability in a single facility is not common in the UK, most independent tuning operations either run 2WD rolling roads or book time at a shared dyno centre. Tooling is Kess3 and CMD. Kess3 covers OBD-port read-write across a wide range of ECU families. CMD extends that to bench tuning, reading and writing the ECU with it removed from the vehicle, which is the correct method for platforms where OBD access is restricted or where a deeper level of calibration is needed. Neither is clone hardware. On-site parking is available at the facility. This is a fixed site; all customers travel here and there is no mobile service.

Stage 2 work requires supporting hardware to be fitted before the session. Declare all modifications at the time of booking so the correct session time and approach can be confirmed.
