Rolling road remap near Horwich
A step-by-step dyno session at Manchester Dyno Centre, Eccles, from your car going on the rollers to documented before-and-after power figures. This is what the process looks like.
The session, how it works
Your car arrives at the facility on James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester. It goes straight onto the 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer. Samuel Gunnell runs a baseline power pass to record where the car currently sits, output, fuelling and timing before any calibration work begins.
He reads the ECU and builds or modifies the calibration. The car goes back on the rollers. Fuelling, boost pressure, ignition timing and knock events are all monitored live during every run. The Bapro gives Samuel the data he needs in real time, not a report generated after the fact, but live feedback that informs each adjustment as the session progresses.
The calibration is refined on the rollers until the numbers confirm it is correct. At that point the session is complete. You leave with documented figures showing your car's output before the work started and again when it was confirmed finished. That is the process on every job, Stage 1, Stage 2, economy remap or anything else.
The facility
Manchester Dyno Centre operates from a 6,000 sq ft workshop at HNA Facilities, Plot Zero, James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester M30 0SF. The 4WD Bapro dynamometer is in a purpose-built dyno cell on site, it is not shared with another facility or rented by the session. Full four-wheel-drive capability is not standard at most UK rolling road centres.
Kess3 and CMD handle all ECU read and write work. Kess3 covers OBD-port tuning across the range of supported platforms; CMD handles bench and direct ECU access for situations where OBD is not the right route. On-site parking. This is a fixed facility, customers come here; there is no mobile visit option.
