Rolling road remap near Urmston

Here is what a session at Manchester Dyno Centre looks like in practice. Your car arrives at the facility on James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester. It goes straight onto the 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer. Samuel Gunnell runs a baseline power pass to establish where the car sits before any work begins.

He reads the ECU using Kess3 (OBD-connected) or CMD (bench access with ECU removed, depending on the platform). The calibration is built or modified based on that reading and the car's measured baseline. The car goes back on the rollers. Fuelling, boost pressure, ignition timing and knock events are visible in real time throughout every run. Samuel monitors the live data and adjusts the calibration between passes until everything sits within the correct parameters.

The session does not end at a fixed time. It ends when the data confirms the calibration is right. You leave with documented before-and-after power figures, a baseline and a verified result, measured on the same dyno on the same day. That is the process on every job, not just the ones that cost more.

ECU calibration (Stage 1). Software-only remapping for petrol and diesel platforms, developed live on the dyno. No hardware modifications required.

ECU calibration (Stage 2). Calibration matched to fitted hardware, intercooler, intake, exhaust. Session carried out on the rollers with the modifications in place. Stage 2 requires supporting hardware to already be fitted before booking.

TCU calibration. Gearbox and DSG remapping to align transmission behaviour with the engine map. Covers both direct-shift and traditional automatic gearboxes.

Rolling road session (power verification only). A standalone power run with no calibration work. Baseline documentation useful before scheduling a remap or checking the output of work done elsewhere.

Launch control activation. Configuration and activation for a consistent, repeatable standing start.

Speed limiter recalibration. Available for vans and commercial vehicles where removal is operationally required.

Overrun and anti-lag (flame tune). Controlled exhaust overrun configured for enthusiast use. Legal wording applies.

Remote platform tuning. Via Bootmod3 (BM3) and MHD for BMW and Mini platforms. Suited to owners who cannot attend in person and are already running compatible hardware.
