Insignia VXR power figures
| Stage | BHP | Torque | Notes | |–-|–-|–-|–-| | Stock | 321 bhp | 435 Nm | 2.8 V6 biturbo, all-wheel drive | | Stage 1 | | | Software only, no hardware changes |
The Insignia VXR is a genuinely underrated performance saloon, and the 2.8 V6 biturbo has more in it than the factory calibration lets on. The figures above are what your car produces on our 4WD Bapro dynamometer, measured through all four driven wheels rather than estimated from a single axle.
What the gain feels like
The Insignia VXR is a big, heavy car for a hot hatch-adjacent performance model, and the way a Stage 1 remap changes it is felt most in overtaking and motorway pace rather than outright top-end. Mid-range torque fills in, throttle response sharpens noticeably from a car that can feel slightly muted in standard form, and the biturbo V6's delivery becomes more immediate through the rev range where you actually use it on a fast A-road or a motorway slip road.
Every service available on the Insignia VXR
Stage 1 is the core calibration on the 2.8 V6, developed and verified on the dyno. Stage 2 is available once supporting hardware, typically an upgraded intercooler and exhaust, is fitted. An economy remap suits owners who cover higher motorway mileage and want smoother, more efficient cruising rather than outright performance. A standalone rolling road session is available without a remap attached. We do not offer speed limiter removal or a flame tune on the Insignia VXR, neither applies to this platform.
Dyno proof for this platform
The Insignia VXR's all-wheel-drive system sends drive to both axles under load, and a two-roller dyno cannot load that properly. Holding one axle on rollers with the other spinning free means the system is not operating the way it does on the road, and the power figure that comes out of a pull like that is not one you can trust. Our 4WD Bapro dynamometer loads all four wheels simultaneously, so the AWD system operates normally throughout the pull, and the figures in the table above reflect that.
