Car remapping Bradford
A full dyno session from arrival to departure, baseline run, ECU calibration, live monitoring and documented before-and-after figures at the Eccles, Manchester facility.
The session, how it works
Here is what a session at Manchester Dyno Centre looks like in practice. Your car arrives at the facility on James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester. It goes straight onto the 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer. Samuel Gunnell runs a baseline power pass to establish where the car sits before any work begins, this is the before figure that everything else is measured against.
He reads the ECU using Kess3 or CMD hardware depending on the platform, then builds or modifies the calibration. The car goes back on the rollers. Fuelling, boost pressure, ignition timing and knock events are all visible in real time throughout every run. If the data shows headroom, the calibration is refined. If it shows a problem, the problem is addressed before the map is written.
This continues until the figures confirm the calibration is correct. The car comes off the dyno with documented before-and-after power figures and a map that has been proven on your specific engine, not on a test vehicle, not on an average car from the manufacturer's database. On yours, on the day.
The facility
Manchester Dyno Centre operates from a 6,000 sq ft workshop at HNA Facilities, Plot Zero, James Nasmyth Way, Eccles, Manchester M30 0SF. The centrepiece of the facility is a 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer, full 4WD capability in-house, which is not standard at most UK tuning operations.
Tooling is Kess3 and CMD, professional-grade hardware that covers both OBD-port calibration and bench tuning (ECU physically removed from the vehicle) across a wide range of platforms. Clone hardware is not used here. On-site parking is available. This is a fixed facility; customers travel here. There is no mobile service.

ECU calibration, Stage 1 (petrol and diesel) software-only remap, no hardware requirements. Calibration developed and verified on the dyno.
-
ECU calibration, Stage 2 for vehicles with supporting hardware already fitted, intercooler, induction, exhaust. Map is built to your actual specification, not a generic Stage 2 file.
- TCU calibration, DSG and traditional gearboxes torque limits, shift speeds and launch behaviour calibrated to match the engine map.
- Rolling road session (power verification only) baseline and post-work power runs without calibration work, for customers who want to know what their car is making before committing to a remap.
- Launch control activation coded and activated for the specific platform; not a generic script.
- Speed limiter recalibration available for vans and commercial vehicles.
- Overrun and anti-lag (flame tune) calibrated on the dyno for the vehicle's fuelling map, not copied from another file.
-
Remote platform tuning Bootmod3 and MHD for BMW and Mini platforms. Remote where the platform supports it.
- Van and commercial vehicle tuning Stage 1 and economy remaps, speed limiter recalibration for fleet operators.
Note: Stage 2 work requires supporting hardware to already be fitted before the session. Advise the team of all modifications when booking.
Bradford drivers travelling to Eccles
Bradford sits roughly 45 to 55 minutes from Eccles, Manchester, a straightforward motorway run west via the motorway network. Drivers from Bradford tend to be technically informed about their vehicles and know what they are looking for in a tuner. The equipment at Manchester Dyno Centre, 4WD dyno, professional tooling, in-house calibration, is worth the drive time for anyone who wants the work done properly rather than quickly.
