Manchester Dyno Centre works across a wide range of platforms, and the 4WD Bapro dynamometer handles them correctly. BMW B58, N55, N57 and S55 engines respond consistently well to Samuel's calibrations. VW Golf GTI, GTD and R are regularly on the dyno, along with Audi models with Quattro all-wheel drive, a platform that requires the 4WD capability most rolling roads in the UK cannot provide.

Ford Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Transit and Ranger are covered, as are Seat Cupra, Skoda Octavia vRS, Vauxhall Astra VXR and Mercedes petrol and diesel. Both petrol and diesel are handled. Do you provide before-and-after power figures?
Yes. A dyno run is part of every session. The baseline is recorded before any work begins, and the car is run again once the calibration is confirmed. Both sets of figures are documented and provided to you at the end of the session.
Can I watch the dyno session?
Yes, you are welcome to observe from a safe position within the facility. The session is conducted in the dyno cell; Samuel and the team will advise on where you can stand during runs. If you have questions about what is being monitored or why a particular adjustment is being made, that is a conversation that can happen during the session.
Does a remap affect fuel consumption?
A Stage 1 performance remap often improves economy at light throttle loads, the calibration makes better use of the fuel being used, so you may find you use less on a cruise or commute even with more power available. An economy remap is specifically optimised for fuel efficiency rather than performance, and is the better choice if lower running costs are the primary goal rather than power gain.
