What the gain feels like

The Polo GTI already feels eager in standard trim, helped by less weight to move than the Golf carrying the same engine family. A properly developed Stage 1 calibration builds on that directly, sharpening throttle response and filling out the mid-range so the car pulls harder out of roundabouts and tighter B-roads where its short wheelbase already gives it an edge. It is not a transformation into a different car, it is the existing character with more behind it.

Every service available on the Polo GTI

Stage 1 is the core calibration on the EA888, developed and verified on the dyno. Stage 2 is available once supporting hardware, typically an upgraded intercooler and intake, is fitted. A DSG remap alongside the engine map adjusts shift speed, shift points and torque limiters, worth doing in the same visit. A standalone rolling road session is available without a remap attached. We do not offer speed limiter removal, launch control coding or a flame tune on the Polo GTI.

Dyno proof for this platform

The Polo GTI is front-wheel drive, and a four-roller, load-simulated pull produces a repeatable, documented figure rather than a road estimate. Our 4WD Bapro dynamometer, the same rig used for the AWD Golf R and Arteon R in this workshop, is available for the Polo GTI's session in exactly the same form, holding the car under sustained load so the baseline pull and verification runs reflect real driving rather than a single short blast.

What affects the exact gain I'll see on my Polo GTI?
Generation, fuel quality, engine condition and any existing modifications all play a part. We assess your car before mapping rather than assuming a blanket result across every Polo GTI.
Do you provide a printout of before-and-after figures?
