The RS Q3 shares its 2.5-litre five-cylinder EA855 with the Audi RS3, which means the figures above are not a guess carried over from a forum thread. They come from the same engine family we have mapped in significant numbers, measured on our 4WD Bapro dynamometer rather than lifted from a datasheet.
What the gain feels like
The RS Q3's five-cylinder note is one of the reasons people buy the car in the first place, and Stage 1 does not dull it. What changes is how early the torque arrives. The SUV pulls harder from lower revs, which matters more in daily driving than the peak number does, given how rarely an SUV like this is driven flat out to redline. Throttle response sharpens too, so the car feels more alert pulling away from a junction, not just faster in a straight line.

Stage 1 covers most owners' needs on the RS Q3. Stage 2 is available where the supporting hardware (principally an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump, plus intercooler and intake) is fitted, and we will advise honestly on whether it suits how you actually use the car. An economy remap is available for owners who want better fuel consumption rather than outright power. We also remap the S tronic gearbox alongside the engine, and a standalone rolling road session is available if you want a baseline pull without committing to a full remap.

Quattro is standard on every RS Q3, and that is exactly why the 4WD Bapro dyno matters here. A two-roller rig cannot load all four driven wheels of a quattro car properly. It either forces the car into a non-standard operating mode or leaves an axle disconnected altogether, and neither produces a figure you can trust.
