Which SQ7 you have matters before any number gets discussed. The earlier car ran a 4.0-litre TDI V8 diesel (435 bhp) through to 2020; from 2020, Audi switched the SQ7 to a 4.0-litre TFSI mild-hybrid V8 petrol (500 bhp), and the two are entirely different remap jobs under the same badge. We confirm generation and engine before quoting a figure, because the table above is only meaningful once we know exactly which SQ7 is on the dyno.

What the gain feels like

On the diesel V8, the gain is felt as an even deeper wall of torque from low in the rev range, exactly where a car this size and weight needs it most. On the petrol TFSI generation, the character is sharper and more responsive, with the mild-hybrid assistance filling in the initial throttle lag. Either way, this is not a car where the peak number is the point. It is how much easier the SQ7 pulls its own weight around, loaded or not, that owners actually notice.

Stage 1 is available across both SQ7 generations, tailored to whichever engine your car carries. Stage 2 is available where supporting hardware is fitted, and we will confirm what that means for your specific generation before recommending it. An economy remap is a strong option here too, particularly on the TDI given how many SQ7s cover serious motorway mileage. We remap the automatic gearbox alongside the engine, and a standalone rolling road session is available without committing to a full remap.
