The equipment that makes it credible
Manchester Dyno Centre operates a 4-Wheel-Drive Bapro dynamometer. This is not standard kit in a remapping shop. Most operations in the North West do not have rolling road capability at all. Those that do frequently run two-wheel-drive dynos, which cannot correctly load AWD vehicles and limit what the tuner can actually observe.
The 4WD Bapro loads all four driven wheels simultaneously. It replicates real road conditions under controlled circumstances and gives Samuel live, accurate data across the full rev range: boost pressure, fuelling, ignition timing, knock events, power and torque at the wheels. He can see exactly what the engine is doing and adjust the calibration in real time until the map is correct.
